Shipping Information

At Lazy J Farms, we work hard to ensure your orders arrive in great condition. Here’s everything you need to know about our shipping practices and policies.

Processing and Shipping Schedule

Order Processing:
We process orders Thursdays through Saturdays. Once your order is processed and billed, it will be frozen for a minimum of 48 hours to ensure it is completely frozen and ready for transit.

Shipping Days:
Orders typically ship the following Monday or Tuesday, depending on order volume.

Delivery Windows:
Deliveries generally arrive between Tuesday and Friday of the week after processing. Delivery days depend on your location and our ship-out date.

For example: If your order is received by Wednesday January 15th, then it'll be processed between Thursday January 16th through Saturday January 18th. It will then ship out on either Monday January 20th or Tuesday January 21st. Orders are inspected before final packing and sealing to ensure they are completely frozen and ready for transit.

Packaging

We take great care in packaging your orders to maintain quality and safety during transit.

Materials:
Products are packed with frozen gel packs inside an insulating liner.

Safe Window:
Our packaging is designed to keep items safe for around 72 hours. Actual results may vary depending on transit conditions and external temperatures. Cooler temperatures will extend this duration.

Dry Ice:
We do not use dry ice at this time, but our packaging has been tested to ensure items arrive at a safe temperature (below 42°F).
Shipping Time: Most deliveries arrive within 48 hours of being handed to the carrier.

Temperature:
As long as your products are below 42F upon arrival, even if partially thawed, they are safe to refreeze or use.

Shipping Carriers, Methods, & Tracking

We primarily ship using UPS and FedEx.
Your address and zip code will determine the shipping method (Expedited or Standard).
Tracking Your Order

You’ll receive automated tracking updates via email:
When your package enters transit.
When your package is Out for Delivery.

If you don’t see these emails, please check your spam or junk folder.

Upon Delivery

When your order arrives, please check your package immediately.

Partially Thawed Items:
It’s normal for items to sometimes be partially thawed. As long as they are still cold (below 42°F), they are safe to freeze, refrigerate, or use.

Issues with Delivery:
If any items arrive above 42°F, or if your package was delayed and you are unsure about the safety of items, please contact us ASAP!

Important Guidelines for Delivery Issues

Do Not Refuse or Dispose of Items Immediately:
Please do not refuse a delivery or immediately dispose of items until contacting us first.

Documentation for Issues:
If items arrive late due to delays or have possibly spoiled in transit, we may need images, additional details, and information before you dispose of the items. Insurance claims for shipping issues or delays often require as much detailed documentation as possible, including photos.

If an insurance claim is refused due to a customer being unwilling or unable to cooperate with images, documentation, or in providing factual information, we reserve the right to deny any replacements or refunds.

Resolution:
Generally, if there is an issue with your order upon delivery, we will replace spoiled, damaged, missing, or otherwise problematic items. This is determined at our discretion.

Note: You agree to these policies when you create an account, and again when placing an order.

We are not responsible for, and do not offer refunds or cancellations for the following:

  • Refused deliveries.
  • Unauthorized returns.
  • Theft of deliveries or items after being handed over to carriers. (This includes, but is not limited to:Porch pirates, Mis-deliveries, Dishonest neighbors.)
  • Items left outside or unrefrigerated/unfrozen beyond a reasonable time (e.g., overnight, more than 8 hours, etc).
  • Carrier issues or faults.
  • Neglectful actions by a customer, carrier, or mishaps outside of our direct control.

    However, we will work with you to try and resolve issues and bring about your satisfaction.
